Carving with 8 auspicious symbols

Offering Bowls (Ting) allow you to make a symbolic offering. The eight filled bowls represent an offering of drinking water, washing water, flowers, incense, light, perfume, food and music . The items represented come from Indian tradition. When a household invites a guest to a feast, the guest upon arriving will offer water for drinking. The guest will also wash their feet before entering the home. Then flowers and perfume are offered. Then before the feast candles are lit and then food is shared among all. In this way the water bowl offering is the sharing of the feast with all the Buddhas. Copper is the traditional material in which serving tools were made in ancient India. Here they are decorated with the auspicious symbols also .
